This is a VERY RARE original 1793 edition of "PREMIER TABLEAU DES CAMPAGNES DES FRANCAIS" or "First Table of French Military Campaigns".

This piece was a newsprint-type publication designed to be posted around the country to update citizens on the status and history of French military campaigns of the period. In particular it gives updates and details on the battles and maneuvers of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. Because of the nature of its use - the fact that these were often pasted on public notice boards, and the fragile nature of the newsprint-type paper - very few survived.

Our document is in fair but decent condition for its age. It was originally folded into 8 sections and it shows creases, tears and discoloration at these original fold lines. The paper overall is toned and has minor loss in a couple of places. The details are readable and overall it looks great and just as you would expect a rare 200+ year old document to look.

PLEASE READ: we have carefully placed this piece in a typical poster frame for protection. It will be shipped flat in this poster frame. Due to the fragile nature of the document, rolling for shipping in a tube is not possible.

The buyer will likely wish to have the document professionally framed.
