Mid Century Walnut and Faux Fur Footstool, 1960s

A really great unique accent piece! This is a vintage Mid Century curved Walnut and faux fur footstool, and appears to be unmarked but is similar to those by Plycraft, Selig and Eames, designed to accompany a lounge recliner. With this upholstery treatment it would fit well with any type and color of the Eames/Plycraft/Selig style recliners.

Traditionally this would have been covered in vinyl, but this one has been reupholstered in high-end grey/silver alpaca-style faux fur. It looks great and is very quirky. Would make a great accent piece around a coffee table. The top cushion is fixed to a bend/curved walnut veneer frame which in turn sits and swivels on a column base with a five leg footer.

The piece is in very good condition. The upholstery is new, the walnut has only minor wear. There is some wear and patina to the base and footers.
