James Coignard Rare Large Format Original Mixed-Media, Hand-Embellished Carborundum Etching, 1980s

This is a rare large format original mixed-media, hand-embellished carborundum etching by listed French artist James Coignard. The piece is signed, numbered 29/50.

Although this piece is from a series of 50, each work is unique and hand embellished with mixed media elements and hand painting over the carborundum etching. This piece also has a torn paper panel laced into the surface, a signature element of the artist's work. We note that this is an unusually large piece for this artist. We have had multiple works and this is by far the largest we have seen measuring about 27" x 40".

Since the work cannot be rolled, this beautiful work will ship protected in a basic poster-style frame of minimal value. The new owner will no doubt want to have it framed professionally.

The piece is in very good condition with no discoloration or damage. It has rough cut edges to the paper, by design.
